This page and describes the role, function, and operating principles of VerifiedClimate™ and the RegistryRail™ evidentiary infrastructure. It explains how climate-sector declarations and milestones are converted into timestamped, tamper-evident Records under neutral custody, and how those Records are intended to be used by institutions, regulators, funders, and independent reviewers.
VerifiedClimate™ provides procedural infrastructure only. It does not certify, assess, or interpret submitted content. The sections below outline the problem addressed, the architectural approach, the neutrality boundaries applied, and the applicable institutional contexts for the infrastructure.
VerifiedClimate™ is not a certification service, a marketplace, or a consultancy software.
It operates as neutral public infrastructure serving regulators, funders, institutions, and innovators who require tamper-evident, defensible records at speed and at scale.
VerifiedClimate™ performs a procedural role only. Its function is to timestamp, seal, and preserve climate-sector declarations and milestones as verifiable Records that may be shared privately or publicly and circulated safely before detailed evidence is prescribed.
The system exists to support institutional-grade climate disclosures, not to interpret, certify, assess, or endorse them. Formatting, custody, and permanence are provided. Judgment remains external.
The first Record for each submitter is priced at €1 and may consist solely of a single non-proprietary Milestone Statement.
All subsequent Records are priced at €100 and may cite earlier Records, allowing organisations to construct a chronological and traceable line of evidence over time.
Records are private by default. Each submitter retains full control over visibility and sharing.
Legacy disclosure workflows rely heavily on static PDFs, spreadsheets, email attachments, and undocumented file exchanges. As regulatory scrutiny increases, these practices introduce material risk into accountability chains.
When funding, audit, or regulatory review occurs months or years later, institutions often struggle to determine what was declared, when it was declared, and which materials supported the declaration at the time.
This lack of contemporaneous custody can delay funding, weaken credibility, and complicate assurance processes.
VerifiedClimate™ modernises evidence handling by fixing declarations at the moment they are made. A simple Milestone Statement establishes an authoritative timestamp and a neutral record of priority, even before supporting documentation is requested or prescribed.
Subsequent Records can later introduce evidence while explicitly citing the original declaration, preserving continuity and reviewability without rewriting history.
RegistryRail™ is the underlying Evidentiary Infrastructure platform.
VerifiedClimate™ is the climate-sector instance of RegistryRail™, operating under climate-specific use cases, language, and regulatory alignment.
RegistryRail™ provides the core issuance, custody, timestamping, and citation architecture. Sector instances such as climate, legal, procurement, or research apply this same infrastructure within their own disclosure and review contexts.
This distinction matters because it separates a reusable evidentiary engine from any single sector application.
VerifiedClimate™ addresses climate-specific disclosure needs today, while RegistryRail™ is designed for deployment wherever verifiable, timestamped records are required.
VerifiedClimate™ supports declarations across a broad range of climate-related use cases, including emissions summaries, carbon retirements, grant actions, policy adherence, and project milestones.
The system converts submissions into tamper-evident, digitally timestamped Records, issues a unique Live Record URL compatible with ESG reports and procurement disclosures, and produces a Reviewer Copy suitable for audit, funding, and regulatory files.
Optional forwarding to certifiers, regulators, or funding bodies is supported.
The system operates without login requirements, proprietary viewers, or custom file dependencies. All processing is fully automated, with no human handling layer and no subjective intervention.
Each new Record may reference prior Records, enabling an incremental and review-ready chronology of progress while preserving the original authoritative timestamp.
VerifiedClimate™ operates under a strict neutrality boundary.
It does not verify, certify, validate, interpret, or assess the truth or completeness of any submission. Certification, regulatory approval, and audit are performed exclusively by independent third parties.
As evidentiary infrastructure, VerifiedClimate™ provides custody, timestamping, and tamper-evidence only. All evaluation remains external.
By separating declaration format from declaration assessment, the infrastructure ensures that Records are presented without conflict of interest or role ambiguity. This separation is fundamental to institutional trust and long-term adoption.
Once issued, Records cannot be modified. Corrections or updates require the issuance of a new Record that may cite the original.
The VerifiedClimate™ Framework is structurally aligned with leading regulatory and disclosure regimes, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, EU Green Deal disclosure requirements, SEC climate disclosure rules, ISSB climate standards, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, Paris Agreement-aligned frameworks, and Voluntary Carbon Market Integrity Codes.
Records are formatted for use in emissions tracking, ESG reviews, assurance workflows, public procurement documentation, grant audits, regulatory examination, and longitudinal comparison.
The infrastructure supports regulatory alignment without prescribing interpretation or outcomes.
VerifiedClimate™ supports cross-sector institutional use within climate-related contexts. RegistryRail™ additionally enables deployment beyond climate where timestamped, tamper-evident records are required.
Common adopters include public sector bodies, banks and insurers, climate finance institutions, carbon market platforms, certification bodies, startups, consortia, and multilateral initiatives operating under complex stakeholder scrutiny.
The infrastructure adapts to the scale and risk profile of the disclosure. As Records accumulate and cite one another, organisations develop a visible and defensible chain of custody for their declarations.
Each RegistryRail™ Record includes a tamper-evident timestamp and cryptographic fingerprint using SHA-256, a Live Record URL under submitter control with no login required, and a Reviewer Copy suitable for diligence, audit, and regulatory retention.
Supporting documents are sealed against alteration. When added after an initial Milestone Record, they are cryptographically linked back to the original declaration and its authoritative timestamp.
Records may optionally appear in the VerifiedClimate™ ticker when consent and system-fit criteria are met.
No proprietary viewer, special software, or file manipulation is required.
VerifiedClimate™ operates on ISO/IEC 27001-certified and SOC-audited infrastructure.
All issuance, custody, and delivery functions are automated. No local data storage or manual processing is involved.
Security controls include encryption in transit and at rest, cryptographic hashing at issuance, auditable logs, and strict access governance.
VerifiedClimate™ does not require separate certification because it performs no human handling and stores no data outside independently certified systems. Institutional assurance is provided through documented controls, evidence packs, and audit-ready operational records.
VerifiedClimate™ is not a software product to be customised or integrated.
It is neutral trust infrastructure, precise in role: to timestamp, seal, and preserve climate-sector declarations as verifiable Records on the Evidentiary Rail.
By providing custody and permanence without judgment, VerifiedClimate™ enables institutions to rely on evidence rather than reconstruction, and on process rather than persuasion.
